A short journey to visit picturesque Nantwich. Situated on the banks of the River Weaver, Nantwich is a medieval market town famous for the black and white timbered buildings dotted around the town. Take a stroll through the atmospheric streets and visit bijoux boutiques, antiques dealers and contemporary craft shops as well as traditional food shops and the Market. We’re lucky that Tuesday just so happens to market day in Nantwich too! There has been a mar- ket in Nantwich since 1500. The present building, at the junction of Market Street and Churchyard side, dates from 1867 and hosts a wide variety of stalls selling all manner of wares. With an outdoor section to the market comprising of over 20 stalls, there’s sure to be enough to keep you and your purse busy!
On the way back to the hotel in the afternoon we’ll stop for a while at Bridgemere Nursery and Garden World for a stroll and maybe a cup of coffee and a slice of cake!
