Breathe in that fresh sea air as you approach the beautiful coastal town of Eastbourne.
Famous for its lush rolling landscapes, set between the green hills of the South Downs, the white cliffs of Seven Sisters, stunning beaches and for being the sunniest town in Britain. A traditional English seaside town with a classic Victorian seafront, three tier promenade, many parks and gardens, theatres, museums and art galleries.
Just a 1-minute walk from Eastbourne seafront and the Bandstand, Haddon Hall Hotel offers well-appointed rooms and an elegant restaurant. This East Sussex hotel is around 5 minutes’ walk from Eastbourne Pier and provides free WiFi and regular evening entertainment.
All rooms have a flat-screen TV, wardrobe and tea and coffee facilities. Each room has an en-suite bath or shower.
The Haddon Hall restaurant offers traditional English and European dishes. Live entertainment is regularly offered in the hotel ballroom.
The first trip of the week is to the beautiful historic town of Lewes – a mixture of the unusual and intriguing and so typically Sussex. Its medieval streets, old English churches and tiny twittens (a Sussex word for alleyway) allow visitors a glimpse into the true essence of bygone Lewes. You’ll discover bookshops, boutiques and antique centres sit alongside individual craft workshops, and the restaurants, cafes, and pubs offer delicious choices all year round with real em-phasis on local produce. This afternoon, enjoy a nostalgic trip back in time on the famous Bluebell Railway.
After breakfast enjoy the morning at the pretty seaside town of Rye – Explore the old town’s streets or perhaps take a trip to the sandy beaches nearby. It’s market day today, an opportunity to experience market shopping at its best and grab some real bargains! On our return we’ll do a whistle stop tour through the south coasts historic towns of Hasting, Bexhill and Pevensey Bay.
