There is no doubt that the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is a very special place – Britain’s only coastal National Park.

What makes it so special is a personal thing and differs from one person to another. It may the sights, sounds and smells of the sea, with unspoilt coastline and views of the spectacular coastal scenery and offshore islands or the unique historic and cultural heritage, the legacy of which, the castles, churches and prehistoric landscape can be visited.

 

Your Hotel

The Fishguard Bay Hotel is strategically located near the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and makes the ideal touring base for the county’s attractions and beaches.

The property encompasses several acres of this verdant backdrop – the terraced grounds boasts sub-tropical gardens which included three quarters of a mile of woodland walks, a croquet lawn, and tennis courts.

With its origins as a 19th Century mansion, it is not surprising that the Fishguard Bay Hotel exudes an atmosphere of elegant sophistication.

With its impressive exterior façade, and spacious reception area leading to a sweeping staircase, guests are immediately immersed in the hotel’s welcoming yet opulent embrace.

Excursion 1

Surrounded by some of the finest coastline in Europe is St Davids, the smallest cathedral city in Britain and a popular location for pilgrims and artists alike – Culture and a unique shopping experience make just the right blend before our afternoon visit to the enchanting Picton Castle which is a half-fortified manor house and half medieval castle set in 40 acres of stunning gardens. A fabulous day out!

Excursion 2

We’ll travel through the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park to Tenby, to discover the delights of one of the UK’s finest coastal holiday resorts – seaside, shopping or culture; you’ll be spoilt for choice!

The Blue Flag beach is a must if a barefooted stroll on the sand or a bracing salt-water dip is on your agenda or if you’re after a souvenir stick of rock, a bucket and spade, or something altogether differ-ent, you won’t have to go outside of Tenby to find it. From small boutiques to a useful supermarket, to our Royal Chartered indoor market, you’ll find everything you need within easy walking distance.

Tenby’s varied selection of cafes and restaurants cater for almost every cuisine and budget you can imagine. From good old-fashioned fish and chips, to light lunches, Sunday roasts and award winning fine dining, our town’s well established café and restaurant scene attracts visitors from far and wide.

Fishguard and Goodwick are the twin towns at the heart of North Pembrokeshire, the hub the outstanding natural beauty that blends the allure of sea and towering cliffs.

Ideally situated for a gentle walks perched right on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, surrounded by Britain’s only Coastal National Park.
